Mrs. Wilma Gean Brown age 70 of Hartwell, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Born March 26, 1956 in Hartwell, GA she was the daughter of the late William H. Norman and Georgia RosaLee (Brown) Norman. Wilma was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She found joy in Gardening, Cooking, and and as was apparent by her large collection of books reading. Out of all her joys in life her greatest was being a Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. 

In addition to her parents Wilma is preceded in death by her husband John Brown,brother Timothy Norman and sister Melinda Elmore. Left to carry her legacy of love is her daughter Lakisha Johnson(Curtis) of Commerce, GA. Sons Marcus Brown (Annie) of Cleveland, GA. Marco (Brandi) Brown and Mark Brown both of Lavonia, GA. and Jeremy Norman (Lynn Mayen) of Atlanta, GA. In addition to those mentioned Wilma leaves behind four brothers and four sisters, 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

 A funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. The casket will be closed at all other times. Wilma will be laid to rest following the service in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowersville, GA. 

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory of 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
