William (Bill) Thomas Kirk

Mr. William Thomas (Bill) Kirk, age 73, of Hartwell, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of September 23, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born September 19, 1952, in Marietta, Georgia; he is the son of the late James W. Kirk, Sr. and Mrs. Helen McLain Kirk. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James (Buddy) Kirk, Jr., brother-in-law Bob Harris, nephew Joseph Kirk Harrington. 

Bill was a dedicated professional in the Heavy Equipment Sales industry for most of his life. He attended North Cobb high school and went to West Georgia College on a track scholarship. One of Bill's great joys in life-beyond his family-included his passion for bass fishing. An avid and skilled fisherman, he found peace on the water and loved passing down his knowledge and techniques to his children and grandchildren. During football season, if he wasn't on a bass boat, Bill could be found cheering on Georgia Football with his wife Barbara.

Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Kirk. Also, survived are their children Bobby Kirk (Shannon), Kelly LeMaire (Casey), Andrew Kirk (Casey). Tripp Bowers (Ashley Foster), Todd Bowers (Shannon), his sisters Jane Kirk Harris (Bob), Judy Kirk Harrington (Dan), grandchildren Matthew Kirk, Emily Kirk, Jonathan Kirk, Josiah LeMaire, Noah LeMaire, Elisha LeMaire, Naomi LeMaire, Elliott Kirk, Taylor Pearson (James), Haley Bowers, Aubrey Bowers, Grayson Bowers, Camp Bowers, Hardt Foster and Webb Foster.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 25, 2025 at 1:00 pm, in the Chapel of the Coile and Hall Funeral Directors in Hartwell, GA. Family and friends will be received at the Kirk home at 121 Lakeshore Drive, Hartwell, GA.Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory of 333 E. Johnson Street Hartwell.
