Mr. William Thomas Cooper, age 72, of Bowman, GA, formerly Asheville, NC passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Born on May 2, 1954, in Asheville, North Carolina, William was the son of the late Arthur Lane Cooper and Edith Cooper. He was a hardworking man who spent much of his life in the transportation industry as a truck driver. William was known for his strong work ethic, love for family, and caring heart.

Above all, William loved his family dearly and treasured the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also had a special love for his beloved pets—Angel, Scooter, Princess Ann, Peanut, and Sammy—who brought him much joy and companionship over the years.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Cooper; and sisters, Joyce Ingle and Doris Cooper.

William’s memory will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind, including his children: Christina Howell (Raymond) of Bowman, Georgia; Michael Cooper (Carrie); and Adam Venable (Bridgette); brothers: Ray Cooper, Ricky Cooper, and James Cooper; sister: Roma Lee Beck; 13 grandchildren; Ryan Howell (Chelsea), Samantha Aderhold (Cory), Taylor Nash(Garrett), Cassandra Tanner (Ben),Cheyenne Austin (Tyler), Miera Scarborough (Adam), Silas Cooper (Greer), Liberty Cooper, Beatrice Cooper, Olivia Cooper, Asher Cooper. AJ Venable, and Jaymion Venable. 13 great-grandchildren; Ryliegh, Tanner, Kaylee, Hadlee, Emma, Mason, Penelope, Raelynn, Abishai, Areli, Eli, Wiley, Ember, as well as Four great grandchildren on the way He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of William’s life will be held at The Creek Church 3287 GA 17 Canon, GA 30520 on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a time of fellowship at Wrays Corner Drug Store, 951 Church Street Royston, Georgia.

Though he may be gone from our sight, the love, memories, and legacy William leaves behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory of 333 E. Johnson Street Hartwell, GA 30643.
