Vincent Meeks

Mr. Vincent Everett Meeks, age 63, of Hartwell, Ga entered into rest at Piedmont Regional on July 13, 2024 in Athens, Ga.

He was born at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga on September 27, 1960 to the late Roger J. Meeks and Wilma Barefoot Meeks. He attended Henderson High School in DeKalb County where he was active in sports and graduated from Central Gwinnett High School in 1979. 

He worked in the sheet metal fabrication industry for over 45 years. Some of his hobbies included riding dirtbikes, playing with his kids, hunting, and was a loved coach for Dacula Athletic Association. Vince had a huge love for cars, especially for his Mustangs and Corvettes. He attended Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, Ga before moving to Hartwell and attending Cornerstone Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and spending time with his family.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Gwynn Meeks, his children Quentin (Amanda) Meeks, Kyle (Shelley) Meeks, Corey (Stacy) Meeks, stepdaughters Laura Bailey and Erica Hurley, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his siblings, Mike Meeks, Jeff Meeks, Angie Le, Missy Hayes, Connor Meeks, and stepbrother Nick Rawlings, and several nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 20,2024 at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell, Ga.
