Obituary for Tom Bailey Jr.
Mr. Tom Bailey, Jr., age 79, of 282 Bailey's Garage Road, Bowersville, Ga., entered into rest on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 21, 1938 in Elbert County to the late Tom Bailey Sr., and Lucille Boyd Bailey. He was retired from Monroe Auto Equipment Company where he was a machine operator. He was of the Christian Faith. He was a veteran and proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by; daughter, Melissa Ann Risner and her husband, Eddie of Bowersville, Ga., son, Tom Bailey and his wife Mary of Toccoa, Ga., sister, Mary Jane McMullan of Hartwell, Ga., grandchildren, Jessica and Braylon Alexander, Grant Risner and Kelsey, Kayla Risner and Brandon Kearns, Ely Risner and Tarah Bailey and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth Saxon Bailey, sister, Margie McCall and Brother, Frankie Boyd.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Tom Bailey, Jr., will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Four o'clock p.m. from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Bro. Fred Greenway will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery with Military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. just prior to the service.
The family will be at the home, 282 Bailey's Garage Road, Bowesville, Ga.
Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the Bailey family.
