Mr. Cordell was a former member of the Lions Club of Hartwell. He was also very proud of being a member of the Gideon International, Hart County Camp for 46 years. He faithfully served in every church he attended. Mr. Cordell served many years at Sardis Baptist Church as a choir member, men's quartet member, Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and Church Treasurer. After he and Ann moved to Canon to live in her childhood home, he attended Macedonia United Methodist Church where Mr. Cordell served as Sunday School Superintendent until moving to Hartwell Health and Rehab in December of 2018. One of his most favorite things over the years was attending monthly Men's Club Meetings at Cokesbury Methodist, Bethesda Methodist and Cedar Creek Baptist where he enjoyed the singing, the fellowship and the food.
