Thomas Rayton Jr

Mr. Thomas Rayton Jr., age 73, of Hartwell, GA. passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at his home.

He was born in Hartwell, GA. to the late Thomas McCord and Edna Rayton Hawkins on September 5, 1949.

Mr. Rayton was retired from Tenneco Automotive and attended Ruckers Grove Baptist Church. He was involved in the community in many different ways, a member of the American Legion and YMCA, enjoyed golf, and playing cards.He was a veteran of the United States National Guard having served 33 years.

He is survived by his children; Carla Knox (Jerome), Thomas Rayton (Maketa), Danney Neal, Kristen Rayton, Derrick Rayton, Shenita Pittman (Rodney), many siblings, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Emma Maxwell Rayton, and 2 sisters.

Funeral services for Mr. Rayton will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Two o'clock at Holy Calvary MRF Church in Lavonia, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
