Thomas Dickerson
Mr. Leon Thomas Dickerson, age 78 of Sterling Drive in Hartwell, husband to Joyce Dickerson, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at home.
He was born on June 15, 1942 to the late Leon Chappale Dickerson and Ethel Brown Dickerson in Hart County, Georgia. He was retired from the Army National Guard after 25 years of service with the rank of First Sargeant and from Monroe Automotive after 42 years. Mr. Dickerson was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of 57 years, children; Kenny(Melanie) Dickerson of Hartwell, GA., and Mitzi(Daryl) Isom of Hartwell ,GA., grandchildren; Caleb(Alanis) Dickerson, Abigail Dickerson, Tyler Williams and Emilee Williams, and great grandchild; Liam Dickerson. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister; Mary Kate Boggs.
Graveside services for Mr. Dickerson will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at four o'clock in the afternoon at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Kimberly officiating.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or American Cancer Society.
All arrangements are under the care and direction of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Cremations, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell, GA.
