Obituary for Theodore Michael "Ted" Yager

Lt. Col.(Ret.) Theodore "Ted" Michael Yager, age 91 of 90 Evelyn's Way, Hartwell, Ga., passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born Sept. 27, 1923 in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Theodore Patrick Yager and Ethel Hogan Yager. He was a retired fighter pilot with the U.S. Airforce with 34 years of service. He attended Syracuse University and graduated from Greenville Tech. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and a former member of Hartwell Golf Club.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Mary "Beebe" Smith Yager, and sister, Marie Raymond. He is survived by his wife, Coni Sadler Yager, children and spouses, Ted Yager and Barbara of Virginia Beach, VA, Denise Ruvel and Rich of Heathrow, FL, Tom Yager and Janice of Fayetteville, NY, Janis Yager and Steve Schoonmaker of Manilus, NY, Karlyn Meyer and Scott of Frisco, TX, Mike Yager and Allison of Atlanta, GA, and his step children Todd McCollum and Sheryl of Anderson, SC, Rhonda Cox and Bruce of Dacula, GA, Joe McCollum and Chelsea of Maryland. Grandchildren, Lindsey Kuryla, Kaley Buster and Mark, Zack Meyer, Jake Meyer, Jordan Yager, Tyler Yager and step grandchildren Matthew Brown, Luke Brown and Rylee McCollum.
Services celebrating Ted's life will held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Eleven O'Clock a.m. in the chapel of Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home with Rev. Don Howell, Rev. Carter Tucker and Dr. Steve Albanese officiating. Full military honors will follow. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.org or the charity of one's choice.
Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home, 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, Ga. will be in charge of all arrangements for Ted Yager. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.chsfuneralhome.com
