Terry Gaines

Mr. Terry Jay Gaines, age 75 of Page Road in Hartwell went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born in Elberton, Ga., on October 6, 1944 to the late Fred Gaines and Estelle Bradley Gaines. He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction business and was a Christian. Terry loved his family, big rigs and tractor pulls.

He is survived by; daughters, Sheila Tucker of Elberton, and Sharon Ertzberger of Hartwell., siblings, Russell and Tony Gaines and Freddie Johnson. Grandchildren, Brandon Rowland, Nicholas Tucker, Marla Benner, Shelly Tucker, Tiffany and Elizabeth Ertzberger. Great-grandchildren, Sierra Fleeman, Caliegh, Forrest and Trace Tucker and Conner Roberts. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Retha Booth Gaines, siblings, Tammy Gaines, Carolyn Gaines Brown, Roger Gaines and Tracy H. Gaines.

Memorial services honoring the life of Terry Gaines will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Three o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors in Hartwell.
