Sue Cleveland

Mrs. Sue Ayers Cleveland, age 87 of Hartwell, Ga., passed to her heavenly home on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 while at the Brookdale Assisted Living facility.

She was born June 12, 1936 in Hartwell to the late Elon Ayers and Cora Bailey Ayers. She retired from Gip's manufacturing where she was bookkeeper for many years. Sue had a servants heart and loved to help others. She was of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish her memories are; children, Debbie McCurley and her husband, Ricky of Canon, Ga., and Michael Cleveland and his wife, Anja of Danielsville, Ga., siblings, Alton Ayers and Larry Ayers of Hartwell, Ga., grandchildren, Zach McCurley and his wife Ansley, Eli McCurley, Anna Grace Finley and her husband, Will and Baylee Hope Cleveland also one great-grandchild, Pierce McCurley. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene Cleveland, siblings, Elon Ayers, Jr., Geraldine Patton and Kathleen Smith.  

Funeral services honoring Sue's life will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Two o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev. Riley Shelton along family members will officiate. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends one hour (1-2) prior to the funeral at the funeral home on Wednesday.
