Mr. Sonny Weston, age 85 of Hartwell entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospice House, Watkinsville, Ga.
He was born on October 17, 1935 in Hendersonville, N.C., to the late William Jason Williams and Allie Josephine Vaughn Williams. He was former manager of Dad's Restaurant and Tater House Grill. In his earlier years, Sonny traveled and sang with the Southern Gospel groups The Disciples and Seekers Quartets. He raised dogs and goats as a hobby and loved to garden. He was of the Baptist Faith and served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his brother, Donald (Peggy) Williams of Hendersonville, N.C., sister, Betty Jean Williams of Thomasville, N.C., and his friend and caregiver, Sandy Phillips.
The family will host a memorial service at a later time.
All arrangements are under the care and direction of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
