Sarah Shippey McKneally

Ms. Sarah Shippey McKneally, age 87, of Hartwell, GA. passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at her home.

She was born on November 12, 1934 to the late Kelley Ford Shippey Sr. and Grace Gregg Shippey in Knoxville, TN.

Ms. McKneally was a retired Scientist, working in Bio Technology, who had a love for nature and ocean preservation, crafting, knitting, education, language arts, animals, especially horses and cats.  

She is survived by her daughter; Ellen Anne McKneally, and grandson; Nestor McKneally. She is preceded in death by her parents, son; Mark Eliot McKneally, and brother; Kelley F. Shippey Jr.

It was Ms. McKneally's wishes to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  

The family welcomes donations to the charity of your choice or to A Living Tribute (www.alivingtribute.org) where you can request that a memorial tree be planted in Sarah's honor.

Arrangements are under the care of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
