Sara Phillips Donalson

Mrs. Sara Phillips Donalson, age 90, of Hartwell, GA., passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Hart Care Center.

She was born on September 8, 1931, in Dothan, AL. to the late Austin Phillips and Mattie Ellen Lide Phillips.

Mrs. Donalson worked as a book keeper in the accounting business before retirement and was a member of Lavonia United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son; Norwood Donalson Jr (Sara) of Bogart, GA., Deborah Zier (George) of Richmond Hill, GA., and David Donalson of Hartwell, GA., four grandchildren and sister; June Ringwalt. She is preceded in death by her husband; Norwood Donalson, daughter; Ellen Donalson, and brother; Austin Phillips.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Eleven o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Dr. R. Allen Stewart will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Oconee Memorial Park in Watkinsville.

The body is at the funeral home and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family will be at their respective homes.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E Howell St, Hartwell, GA 30643, Lavonia First United Methodist Church , 25 Baker St, Lavonia, GA 30553 or a charity of one's own choice.
