Peggy Teel

Peggy Jordan Teel, 77 of 73 Cedar St.,  Hartwell passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, S.C.

Born on March 16, 1946, in Hartwell, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Walter Jordan and Ina Byrum Jordan. She was retired from Tenneco Automotive after 42 years service. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Connie Lynn Hice and one son, David Teel (Kathleen) of Hartwell. Four Grandchlidren: Kiersten Reese Maxwell, Garrett David Teel, Jordan Wheeler Teel, Sarah Alison Teel of Hartwell. Five great-grandchildren: Pyper Lynn Maxwell, Cashton Maxwell, Tapanga Grace Maxwell, of Hartwell, Mason Hice of Carnesville, Ga. and Aria Hice of Alabama and brother Ray T. Jordan of Lavonia, Ga. and one sister, Brenda J. Jordan of Hartwell along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Mattie Ann Jordan and one brother Max G. Jordan. Peggy loved all her family members wholeheartedly and with unconditional love.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Two o'clock at the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Rev. Jason Webb and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Private burial will follow.at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 11, 2024 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Family members will be at the home of her son, David Teel, 91 Cedar Street in Hartwell.
