Patsy Dodds

Ms. Patsy Merrell Dodds, age 95 of Martin, Ga., passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2023 at her home.

She was born on January 23, 1928 in Birmingham, AL to the late Cecil Elgin Merrell and Dovie Huckabee Merrell. She retired as a Mortgage Banker and she loved gardening and cooking.

Left to cherish her memories; daughters, Celia Maddox (David Gable) of Norwalk, CT and Sharon Steed of Martin, GA, brother, James Merrell of Huntsville, AL, grandchildren, Merrell Steed, and Stephanie Rapaport, great-grandchildren, Charlie, Leo and Stella Rapaport.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and son in law, Doss Steed.

To honor her request, she will be cremated and no formal service will be held at this time.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
