Mitchel Barton

Mr. Mitchel Barton, age 57, of Athens Street Hartwell, GA., passed away at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital on Friday, October 15, 2021.

He was born in Morocco, Africa to Vereal Barton and the late Inez Leake Barton on November 9, 1963.

Mitchel enjoyed computers, woodwork, computer games and baseball. He spent most of the last three years restoring his home and loved taking care of his wife. He was proud of designing and painting the stained windows in the Wynnewood, OK. museum. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and worked for the U.S Forest Service as a computer systems analyst.

Mr. Barton is survived by his father, wife; Melissa Chaffin Barton, children; Hazedon Barton, Gabrielle Barton, stepchildren; Ethan (Courtney) Chaffin, Jordan (Kristina) Chaffin, Zachary Chaffin, and Kayla Senecal, siblings; Michael (Janet) Barton, Maxwell Barton, grandchildren; Amelia, Noel, Douglas, Eli, and Mercy Chaffin. He is preceded in death by his mother.

Memorial Services for Mr. Mitchel Barton will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Two o'clock preceded by visitation in the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors of Hartwell. Inurnment will be held at the family cemetery in Woodville, MS. on Saturday, October 30, 2021. The family is at their respective homes.
