Michael "Mike" T Ramsey

Michael Ramsey, 87, died in Hartwell, Georgia on November 30, 2022 after a brief acute illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary Owens Ramsey. Mike was preceded in death by his brother Bobby, mother Dorothy, and father Robert.

Born in New Smyrna, Florida, Mike graduated High School in Deland. He spent 31 years as an officer of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, was an Air Force veteran and an avid fisherman.

Having made their home in Florida since their marriage in 1998, Mike and Mary moved to Hartwell, Georgia four years ago to be near Ken and Cindy Owens. Mike was loved by all who knew him including the professionals who cared for him at Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, December 5 at Woods Memorial Park in Greer. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made in Mike’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association or Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation.
