Ms. Melissa Deann Hardmon age 41 of Hartwell, GA passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. Born July 9, 1984 in Hartwell, GA she was the daughter of Thomas L. Hardmon and the Late Anna Denise (Burton) Hardmon. Melissa joined Norman Grove CME Church and song on the choir for a while. She enjoyed singing and fishing .She was a people person and loved working with kids.

In addition to her mother Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents Hubert and Katie Burton and John T. and May Frances Hardmon, her aunt Virginia Henderson, uncles Robert Hardmon, Stanley Burton, Ivory Burton and Artis Burton.

Left to cherish her memory in addition to her father is her brother and sister in law Jermaine and Sonya Hardmon. Nieces Dana Turner (Michael) and Belle Hardmon, as well as one nephew Tyler Hardmon and two great nieces Braelynn Steeple and Kaycee Hardmon, aunts Sue Burton, Sarah Matthews, Mae Lou Allen, Josephine Hardmon, Diane Delafaunte, Mary E Carver, all from Hartwell Georgia, uncles Charles ( Doris) Burton Hartwell Georgia , James Hardmon Lincolnton Georgia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00 in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with the Rev. Tracy Curry officiating.
