Mary "Peggy" Magdalene Lovelace's Obituary

Mrs. Mary “Peggy” Magdalene (Carver) Lovelace passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on May 27, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Clarke and Eva Mae (Hill) Carver. Peggy was a cloth inspector in the textile industry. She will be remembered by her family for her home cooking, love of flowers, and the abundance of love she showed her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Henry P. Lovelace. Son Perry Lovelace. Siblings Dennis Bailey, Bill Bailey, Clayton Bailey, and Emily Morgan.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons Anthony Turner (Rhonda) of Highland Village, TX., Teddy Lovelace (Tiffany), and Jamie Lovelace (Brandy) all of Hartwell, GA. A daughter in law Donna Lovelace. “Grandma” as she was known will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Chelsea, Hayley, T.J., Toby, Liv, and Logan.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. A Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Ken Buffington officiating. Peggy will be laid to rest at Nancy Hart Memorial Park following the service.

The family is at 235 Norman Road Hartwell, GA 30643. The family would like to express gratitude to Donna Lovelace, for honoring Peggy’s wishes of caring for her in her home in her final years.
