Mary Thrasher Yeargin Lowery

Ms. Mary Thrasher Yeargin Lowery, age 75 of Reed Creek Highway in Hartwell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at home with family by her side.

She was born October 31, 1948 in Anderson, S.C., to the late Andrew and Gladys Baker Thrasher. Mary retired as a Registered Nurse and in her early career was a paramedic with Hart County EMS. She graduated from North Georgia College and had a combined total of forty plus years in the medical field. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Mary loved to attend barrel racing events with her family and spending time with them. She was an avid Duke University Basketball fan. She attended Mt. Hebron Church.

Left to cherish her memories are; her children, Anna (Jeff) Adams and Julie Yeargin both of Hartwell, Ga., sister, Polly Stowe of Hartwell, Ga., grandchildren, Macon (Carolyn) Clark and LeeAnna Clark, great-grandchildren, Tyler and Katelyn along with her best friends, Jill Greenway and Elaine Frye Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Joe E. Thrasher and her best friend, Calvin Yeargin.

Funeral services celebrating the extraordinary life of Mary Thrasher Yeargin Lowery will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Twelve noon from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Pastor Grant Myerholtz officiating. She will be laid to rest at Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family has asked that anyone who worked with Mary in the medical field to  please be honorary pallbearers and be at the funeral home on Wednesday by 11:30 a.m.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 30, 2024  from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be at the home, 5710 Reed Creek Highway in Hartwell.      

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
