Mary Yvette Drye, age 54 of Poplar Street in Hartwell went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC
Born January 25, 1965 in Cincinnati, OH and raised in Los Angeles, CA, where she attended Los Angeles City College. She was employed with Subway of Hartwell and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Carnesville. Mary was passionate about her fight with breast cancer. She fought long, strong, and hard until her final breath.
She is survived by; her daughter, Timpestt Daniel of Hartwell, Ga., father, Elbert Starks, step-daughter, Kamia Carter, god-daughters, Bryuanna Heard, Akiva Verdell, brother, Melvin Courtney Drye, nephew, Melkendric Drye, nieces, Takisha Teasley, Takeyia Wilkins, and Lakeisha McLendon (Deltorious) sisters, Lenese, Sandra and Sheelah, her aunt, Daisy Sloan and uncle, Horace Sloan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Starks and Melvin Drye and brother, Anthony Teasley.
Homegoing services for Mary Drye will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Eleven o'clock from New Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Ms. Drye will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
The family will be at the home, 196 Poplar Street in Hartwell and will greet friends Friday, August 16, 2019 from 6-7 at the funeral home.
Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the family of Mary Drye.
