Martha Sue Fortson (Abercrombie)

Mrs. Martha Sue Abercrombie Fortson, age 70, of Royston, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at her home.

Martha was born October 9, 1950 in Royston, GA. to the late Tom Watson Abercrombie and Verlue Evans Abercrombie. She loved farming and taking care of her chickens and cattle. She attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Bowman, GA.

She is survived by her husband; William Franklin Fortson, children; Lisa (Dean) Fortson of Norwood, NC., Samantha (Wayne) Fortson of Bowman, GA., grandchildren; Lucas Williams, Melanie Moon, Kristen Fortson, Eric Moon, Michael Maxwell, Justin (Kelsey) Maxwell, eight great-grandchildren, siblings; Tom E. Abercrombie of Danielsville, GA. and Hercshel Abercrombie of Danielsville, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents and grand-daughter; Brittany Moon.

Services for Mrs. Fortson will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors at 11:30 with Rev. Leon Pierce and Rev. Bobby Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E Johnson St. Hartwell, GA. 30643. Burial will be at Mill Shoal Baptist Church Cemetery.
