Martha June Emmons

Martha June Emmons, age 83, of Hartwell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, October 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on January 18, 1942, in Little River, Tennessee, Martha was the daughter of the late Harold Vandiver and Nellie John Sabatine (Rowe). She was a devoted member of Reed Creek Baptist Church, where her faith was a steady light throughout her life.

Martha was a woman whose heart overflowed with kindness. She had a gift for making others feel cared for and loved, whether through her warm smile, her listening ear, or a plate of her famous potato salad-always made with a generous helping of love. She found joy in simple pleasures: a good book, a new crochet pattern, and time spent with family. Her creativity and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband Philip B. Emmons, Sr., beloved son, Paul Emmons; her sister, Barbara Phillips; and her grandson, Christopher Browning.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Debra Blumenaur, Phillip Emmons, Jr. (Pamela), Joseph Emmons, and Denise Kotal (Dennis). "Granny," as she was affectionately known, will be deeply missed by her 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren-each one a precious part of her proud and loving family.

Per Martha's wishes, cremation will take place, and a private inurnment will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will rest in peace among loved ones.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory, 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, Georgia.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that Martha's love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
