Marlisha Hailey

Miss Marlisha Lavette Hailey, age 40, or Hartwell Ga passed away November 19, 2023 at her home.

She was born on June 4, 1983 in Hartwell, Georgia to Maurice Hailey and Patricia Harper. She graduated from Hart County High School in 2001. She was a member of Zion CME Church and loved cooking, music and talking.. She loved spending time with family and joking and she especially loved her daughter, Nakia Hailey and aunt Karen Shambry (Bealie).

Left to cherish fond memories are; daughter, Nakia Hailey of Hartwell, Ga., mother, Patricia Harper, father, Maurice Hailey, grandmother, Minister Elizabeth Harper, grandpup, Taz, Godfather, Michael Newton, brothers, Mario (Shameka) Harper of Lavonia, Ga., Kendrick Harper, Salisbury, N.C., and Maricus Hailey of Hartwell, Ga., nieces, Evie Burroughs, Shakiiza and Anila Harper, nephews, Tyvondrick, Kendrick, Jr., Chase, Jaden, Jaricus and Tristen Harper, Davian Scott, Xavier, Juaquim and Malachi Hailey, special nephew, Bryson Jordan (BJ), a very special aunt, Verda Martin along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends along with special friends, Kira Rucker, Laskeei Cureton (Ballhead) and Joeveski Gibbs.  She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Willie Harper, grandmother, Ida Hailey, niece, Yasmin Hailey and special friend, Schancie Temples.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Two o'clock from Zion CME Church in Hartwell. Rev. Richard Sheller will officiate. Her request was to be cremated following the funeral service.

She will lie in state 12 - 5 Friday afternoon at the funeral home for those wishing to pay their respects.
