Marian Rapsis

Marian “Bup” Rapsis, 96, peacefully passed on to her Heavenly Home on October 31, 2023. Thank You Jesus!

 She was born and raised in Athol, Massachusetts and received her Physical Education Degree from Sargent College. She met the love of her life, Hank, taught “P.E.” and became the proud Mother of four great kids, Steve, Marta, Joanne and Dan. Marian, Hank and their family moved to Atlanta in 1967. They attended Holy Cross Catholic Church and enjoyed many years together with neighbors, family, and friends. Marian moved to Hartwell in 2019 and made Brookdale Senior Living her new home where she was cared for by their kind and loving staff “family”.  She always enjoyed a good laugh, and she became well known for her famous reminder that “Getting old ain’t for sissies!”

 Marian lived a full and happy life with her beloved husband, family, friends, constant faith, grateful heart and gentle soul. A private celebration will be held at a later date. May the PEACE of the Lord be with us always.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
