Louise Gulley

Mrs. Louise Bruce Gulley, age 93 of Hartwell, Ga., passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024.

She was born September 30,1930 in Iva, SC to the late Robert Bruce and Melinda Newby Bruce. Louise retired from Hartwell Company with many years of service. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir as long as her health permitted.

Left to cherish her memory are; son, Larry Gulley of Hartwell, Ga., and Janice Lathrop of Simpsonville, SC, siblings, Robert Bruce, Pete Bruce, James Bruce, Wayne Bruce, Stella Alexander and Jackie Hulme. Two grandchildren, Lori Hart and Leah Desanti and two great-grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James “Jimmy” Gulley and siblings, Hiram and Buddy Bruce.

A funeral service celebrating Louise Gulley’s life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Three o’clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev. Richard Jarvis will officiate.

She will be laid to rest at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery beside her husband.

The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2-3 p.m. just prior to the service.

Family members will be at their respective homes.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
