Obituary for LillIe Mae Banister (McCollum)
Mrs. Lillie Mae McCollum Banister, age 88 of Hartwell, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Hartwell Health And Rehab surrounded by her family.
Born May 11, 1930 in Hart County she was the daughter of the late William Irvin McCollum and Nola Ruth Weaver McCollum. She was a homemaker and member of Bethany Baptist Church and attended Gethsemane Baptist Church in Starr, S.C..
She is survived by; daughters, Jean Mabry Brown (Tony) of Hartwell, Ga., and Connie Ann Banister of Lawrenceville, Ga. and son, James Charles Banister of Hartwell, Ga. grandchildren, Scott (Jodi) Mabry, Kayla Mabry and Colby Brown, great-grandchildren, Johanna Mabry, Brianna Mabry, Kabil Carey and Kaine Carey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jimmy Charles Banister.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Three o'clock from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Pastor Sam Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening 5-7 and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday. The family will be at the home of Jean Brown, 738 Paynes Creek Road in Hartwell.
Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the Banister family.
