Obituary for Lemuel Hix
Mr. Lemuel Hix, age 78 of 99 Lanier Street, Hartwell, Ga., entered into rest early Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016 at Hospice House of the Upstate.
Born April 17, 1938 in Hartwell, Ga., to the late Milton Lemuel Hix, Sr., and Mamie Madden Hix. He was retired owner and operator of Hix Floor Sanding & Covering for 20 years. He then worked with the Hart County School System in maintenance with 20 years of service. He was a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church. Mr. Hix was a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by; his wife, Ladon Hembree Hix of the home, daughter, Revonda Hix Wood and her husband, Alan of Anderson, S.C., two grandchildren, Morgan and Abbie Grace Wood, Siblings, Kent Hix, Richard Leon Hix, Dean Hix and Nell Hix Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Phil Hix and sisters, Margaret Hix, Bobbie Hix Nichols, and, Ann Hix Brown.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Lemuel Hix will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Two O'Clock p.m. from the chapel of Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home in Hartwell. Dr. Steve Albanese and Mr. Ricky Hix will officiate. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park
The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 just prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will be at the home.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate (Rainey Hospice House) 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, S.C. 29621
Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be in charge.
