Mrs. Katie Elaine Dawson Grizzell, age 31 of Bowersville, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 31, 1988 in Royston, Ga. Katie loved people and never met a stranger. She attended Bowersville Baptist Church when able.
She is survived by; her mother, Brenda Watkins (Joel) Mendez of Bowersville, Ga., husband, Nick Grizzell of the home, children, Skylie Grizzell, Zylan Grizzell and Chevy all of the home. siblings, Amanda Bellamy, Kevin Mendez and Heaven Mendez. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Dawson.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Two o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate. Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens in Toccoa. The family will greet friends 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made directly to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
Arrangements are entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
