Josephine Rucker

Ms. Josephine Rucker, age 61 of Hartwell, Ga., passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 7, 2023.

She was born on June 22, 1962 in Royston GA to the late Doc Daniel and Gladys Heard Daniel. She worked as a caregiver and was a member of St. Paul CME church in Bowman GA.

Left to cherish her memories are son Fredricus Mattison, special friend Cecil Mattison of Anderson SC,  sister Bernice Rucker of Bowman, GA, Brenda Burton of Spartanburg, SC, brother Willie Lee Daniel of Hartwell, GA, special niece Chestine Rucker, Godson My'Jay Cunningham and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters; Mae Lois Oakman, Linda Faye Hunter, Joann Rucker, Willie Bell Daniel, and brother Harry Charles Rucker.

Funeral service will be Monday, August 14,  2023 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at the Brown Grove Cemetery in Royston, GA.  The family will be at the home of Chestine Rucker at 40 Faye Kight Circle in Hartwell GA.
