John Morris

Mr. John Luther Morris, age 83 of Montevideo Road in Hartwell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a native of Coolidge, Ga., and was born on March 4, 1941 to to the late Lonnie J. Morris and Velma Jackson Morris. John retired from the USDA with 43 years of service. He graduated from ABAC and then UGA with a Bachelors in Agricultural Education. John was a member of Hart and Elbert County Cattleman's Association and a member of Bio Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memories are; his wife, Faye Plymel Morris, Carole Morris (David) Solar of DeLand, FL, Lori Morris (Jay) Moss of Hartwell, Ga., and a brother in law reared in the home, Robert Plymel of Hartwell, Ga.,sister, Mavis Sherrod of Pavo, GA., grandchildren, Chelsey Solar, John (Kendall) Solar, Jayden Moss, Cassie Moss and Callie Moss. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, L.C. Morris and Robert Morris.

A funeral service and committal celebrating the life of John Morris will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Eleven o'clock in the chapel  of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. A private burial will be at Bio Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartwell.

Their will be no formal visitation

Family members will be at the home, 1424 Montevideo Road in Hartwell. 

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell for Mr. John L. Morris.
