John F McAlhany

Mr. John F. McAlhany, age 84, of Old Mt. Hebron Road, Hartwell, GA. passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Anmed Health Medical Center.

He was born on March 18, 1937 to the late Raymond Bryant McAlhany and Lucille Nettles McAlhany in Orangeburg, SC.

He retired from the construction business, was an avid animal lover and enjoyed gardening. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. McAlhany is survived by his brother; R.H. McAlhany, nephew; Mark Asdot and nieces; Teresa Neese, Janice Freeman, Linda Wood, and Cindy Lawrence and his furbaby "Baby". He is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Barbara A. Neese, niece; Marilyn M. Greenway and sister-in-law Whilimena Antely McAlhany.

Graveside services for Mr. McAlhany will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at two o'clock at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Grant Myerholtz officiating.

Flowers are optional. Donations may be made to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, 273 Mt. Hebron Rd. Hartwell, GA 30643.

Due to Covid there will be no formal visitation. Family members are at their respective homes.

Arrangements are under the care of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, GA. is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. John McAlhany.
