Obituary for Joanne Martin (Teasley)
Mrs. Joanne Teasley Martin, age 75, a Hartwell resident, wife of Jack Martin, went to be with the Lord Friday evening, December 29, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
She was born on February 28, 1942 in Lincolnton, GA; was the daughter of the late Hoke Smith Teasley and Janie Goldman Teasley. She was retired having worked as Deputy Clerk for the Hart County Clerk of Court for 32 years. She was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, and was a member of the choir. She also was Past President of the Pilot Club.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Children, Richard J. Martin and his wife Dani of Hartwell, GA, James K. Martin and his wife Jodi of Anderson, SC; Siblings, Jack Teasley of Andersonville, GA, Sarah Close of Carlsbad, CA, Ellen Schumpert of McCormick, SC, Roger Teasley of Clayton, NC; Grandchildren, Sarah Beckom, Brent Burr, Jennifer Seawright, Chelsey Melnik; Great Grandchildren, Austin Brown, Abby Beckom, Wyatt Burr, Emma Seawright, Lily Seawright.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 1, 2018, at 11:00 am at Abundant Life Baptist Church of Hartwell, Rev. Ken Brewer, Mr. Frankie Gray, and Mrs. Jennifer Seawright will officiate. In accordance to her wishes following the services Mrs. Martin will be cremated. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 31, 2017 from 5-8:00 pm at the Coile and Hall Funeral Directors.
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that Memorials be made to Abundant Life Baptist Church Building Fund, 12 Hart Service Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
The Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson St., Hartwell, GA 30643, will be serving the Martin Family.
