Jim Dennis

Mr. James "Jim" Dennis, age 56 of 328 Old Beacon Light Road, Hartwell, Ga., husband
of Dixie Austin Dennis,went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Hospice
Atlanta at Emory University Hospital.

Born July 16, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Roger and Carol Drew Dennis he was a graduate
of Bentley College with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. He worked as a CPA with
Price Waterhouse for many years before moving into software sales. In 2010 he retired
from SAP America as Senior Account Executive. After moving to Hartwell in 2000,
his community involvement included serving as a volunteer fireman for Central station,
teaching youth Sunday School at Hartwell First United Methodist Church, and serving
on the Hart County Board of Assessors. After retiring, he became a math tutor and a
tennis coach for the HCHS tennis team. His most recent community outreach
was serving as a foster parent for Hart County Animal Rescue. Jim’s passions included
his family, motorcycle racing, fast cars, tennis, traveling and woodworking.

He is survived by; his wife, daughter,Drew Dennis, son, Austin Young, his mother,
Carol Dennis, sister in law, SueDennis, cherished friends, Gary Garcia, Dan
D'Allaird, John Thomas and the"tennis gang". He was preceded in death by his father,
Roger Dennis and brother, Rick Dennis.

A welcome to Heaven celebration will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Four O'Clock
p.m. at the Methodist Lake Lot, located at the end of Methodist Park Lane in
Hartwell. In lieu of flowers,memorials may be made Hart County Animal Rescue, P.O.
Box 45, Hartwell, Ga.30643 or Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell
St., Hartwell,Ga. 30643.
