Mrs. Lillian Jenelle Crocker Fleming, of Canon, Ga., passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Hartwell Health and Rehab with family by her side.

She was born August 19, 1931 in Tignall, Georgia to the late Archie Crocker and Effie Standridge Crocker. Jenelle married James Monroe Fleming on February 19, 1949 and had a happy 62 year marriage until his death in 2011. She graduated from Hartwell High School and attended business school in Atlanta. She retired as a Caseworker with Hart County Department of Family and Children Services, where she served both Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services for 38 years. Following retirement, she served on the Advisory Board for several years. She was a longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Jenelle is survived by her sons, David (Susan) Fleming and Bobby (Pam) Fleming. Grandchildren, Kellie Stoner, Melissa (Scottie) Green, Christie (Kelvin) Simpson, and Brian (Nicole) Fleming, seven great-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Buddy Crocker, numerous nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Cindy Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: infant Eva, Ruby Thompson and Polly Minish and brothers, Ralph, JC, Harvey, Marvin, Benny Sr. (Dubie), and Harold Crocker.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Three o'clock from the Sanctuary of Bethany Baptist Church. Rev. Luther Thomason will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon 2-3 p.m. just prior to the funeral service at the church. Please make memorials in her memory to Bethany Baptist Church, 2085 Bethany-Bowersville Road, Canon, Ga. 30520

Arrangements are under the care of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
