Mrs. Janet Culver Gillette, age 69, of Hartwell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Born on November 15, 1956, in Winder, Janet was the beloved daughter of the late David Culver and Bonnie Culver. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered around faith, family, and the simple joys of life.

Janet was a homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. She found great joy in the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. She also worked for 15 years at Fieldale, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her strong work ethic. Janet had a warm spirit and a loving heart, and she especially enjoyed gathering with family, sharing meals, and making memories with those she loved. She was known as an avid lover of the outdoors and had a special fondness for chicken and home-cooked meals.

She attended Old Madison Church in Westminster.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth Culver, Jimmy Culver, Janice Culver, Patsy Shipman.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, William Paul Gillette of the home; daughters, Rachel Hedrick (Franklin) and Joanna Valenzuela (Jerry); Sisters Carol McDonald and Gayle Boyd; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 29, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors.

Following the service, Janet will be cremated in accordance with her wishes, and her cremated remains will be kept by the family.
