Jan Ertzberger

Mrs. Etta Jan Elrod Ertzberger, age 64, of Hartwell, Georgia passed away on February 6, 2022, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, South Carolina. 

She was born on August 21, 1957 in Royston, Ga., and peacefully passed to her heavenly home on February 6, 2022 while under the care of Cottingham Hospice House. Jan was retired from law enforcement and the Hart County School System. She loved spending time with her family and cross stitching. She was a Christian.

She is survived by; her children, Georgia Harris of Hartwell, Ga., and Jim Ertzberger of Madison, FL., grandchildren, Harley, Blake and Jason survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Opal Bailey Elrod, husband, George Ertzberger, and grandchildren, Hannah and Luke.    

The family will hold a private service on Friday, February 11, 2022. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved George at Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Family members will be at their respective homes.
