Obituary for James Edward "Ed" Sexton
Mr. James “Ed’ Edward Sexton, age 88 of 261 Fairview Ave. Hartwell, GA, went to be with his Lord on August 31, 2015.
Born August 18, 1927 in Danielsville, GA, he was the son of the late CL Sexton and Lillie Miller Sexton. He was retired having worked in the Heating and Air industry and with the Dillard Co. in Athens, GA. He was a US Army veteran and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Hartwell.
He is survived by his son: James Hardy Sexton and his wife Randy of Hartwell; daughter: Robin S. Veal and her husband Ric of Athens; brother: Kenneth Sexton of Ila; four grandchildren: Jennifer Marek, Jamie Sexton, Jeremy Sexton, Ryan Veal and Amy Veal; and five great grandchildren: Peyton, Paxton, Colton, Emily Kate and Ava Grace. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jewell Hardy Sexton, who passed in 2009; sisters: Dorothy Fowler, Louise Carey, Eleanor Sexton and Doyle Sexton.
Services celebrating the life of James “Ed” Edward Sexton will be held on September 2, 2015 at three O’clock pm in the chapel of the Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home with the Rev. James Sexton officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3pm prior to the service. The family will be at 833 N. Forest Ave., Hartwell, GA 30643.
