James Rodney Bowen

Mr. James Rodney Bowen, age 66 of Mt. Olivet Road in Hartwell Georgia, passed away on May 5, 2024. He was born in Anderson South Carolina on January 14, 1958 to the late James H Bowen and Patsy Clark Bowen. He worked in the granite industry and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed playing basketball, guitar and loved to read. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Albert Bowen.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kevin (Lori) Bowen of Canon, Damian (Ashley) Bowen of Dewy  Rose, Jamie Bowen of Elberton, his siblings, Jeanne Troyer and Patty Brock, his grandchildren, Alison Bowen, Ashton Bowen, Nathaniel Wainscott, Devin Wainscott, Katie Bowen, Zach Bowen, Kamdyn Bowen, and one great-grandchild, Aspyn Seymour. 

Mr. Bowen's wishes were to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time.
