Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Jamarcus Earl Starks, a beloved son, brother, and friend. Jamarcus was born on September 16, 1996, in Greenville, South Carolina, and entered eternal rest on January 1, 2026, in Hartwell, Georgia. His warm heart, infectious laughter, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jamarcus was a graduate of high school and built a career as a Receiving Technician in the manufacturing industry. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication—qualities that reflected the values instilled in him by his close-knit family.

Jamarcus had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, and the outdoors was where he felt most at peace. Whether by the water or in the woods, he found joy in life's simple moments and the quiet beauty of nature. More than anything, Jamarcus loved to laugh. His laughter was contagious—filling every room and lifting the spirits of everyone around him. His presence brought light, comfort, and joy to those he loved.

He is survived by his loving mother, Annie Starks, and his father, Ricky Starks. Jamarcus leaves behind a large and loving family of siblings: Tyson Dubose, Joseph Rucker, Brittany Cobb, Detricunna Teasley, Jimmie Harper, Ethel Harper, Deanna Towns, Corbin Burton, Jalisa Towns, and Cecilia Rucker (step-sibling). He is also fondly remembered by his brother-in-law, DeAngelo Cobb, As well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

Jamarcus was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Saddie Starks, Sally- Louise Rucker and Connie Goss.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of Jamarcus Earl Starks will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will gather to reflect on his life, share memories, and honor the love and joy he brought into the world.

As we remember Jamarcus, let us carry forward his love for life, his kindness, and his unforgettable laughter. Though he is gone from our sight, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
