Hilda Mauldin

Hilda Cornelia Bowers Mauldin, 95 years old, formerly of Smith Street in Hartwell, GA passed away on December 15, 2022 at Morningside Assisted Living Facility of Anderson, SC.

She was born on September 11, 1927 in Hartwell to the late Nathaniel Bowers and Mamie Welborn Bowers. Hilda left this life to spend Christmas with her Lord and Savior. She had 95 good years and has gone to be with her loved ones that have gone on before her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years, Frank O. Mauldin and eleven siblings. Left to cherish her memories are; her children, Paul (Nancy) Mauldin of Anderson, SC, Jerry (Gloria) Mauldin and Karen (Rullie) Hallman all of Hartwell, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and three step great-great grandchildren survive. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church, UMW and Ladies Sunday School Class. She was a member of Pilot Club of Hartwell for 53 years. She retired as a nurse, worked with Voter Registration for 33 years, volunteered at Hart County Hospital, and then St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital. Hilda was a member of Hart County Board of Health until her fall in 2019. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, reading and cooking. She loved her Lord, friends and family.  

Funeral Services for Ms. Mauldin will be Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Family members will be at their respective homes.
