Hedrick Leonard Isley

Mr. Hedrick Leonaard Isley, age 84 of Hartwell, Ga.,entered into rest on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

He was born in Burlington, N.C. to the late Robert Newlin Isley and Sadie Williams Isley. He graduated with a BS degree from Elon College and was retired from AT&T as an electrical engineer. He was serving God and his fellow man at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and was a former Sunday school teacher there. He loved music and was involved with gospel quartets most of his life. Hedrick proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 109 and Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge #690. Hedrick loved war history and biblical history and could repair anything.

He is survived by; his wife, Tanya Davis Isley, his children, Robin Isley Bickford of Whispering Pines, N.C., Angela D. Isley of Atlanta and Hartwell, and Shawn Brian Isley of Milledgeville, Ga. Grandchildren, Joshua Bickford, Seth Bickford, Davis Isley, Savannah Bickford and Noah Isley.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Hedrick Isley will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Eleven o'clock a.m. from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Dr. Donald Little and Rev. Carter Tucker will officiate. Music will be provided by the Hobson family. Burial with military honors will take place at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends on Sunday afternoon 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Masonic Children's Home, 1417 Nottingham Dr, Macon, GA 31211
