Obituary for Hazel Walker Teague

Mrs. Hazel Walker Teague, 88, of Ricks Road, Lavonia, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Gentiva Hospice at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Edgar Houston "Ed" Teague.
She was born on October 1, 1928 in Swain County (Fontana), North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late James Ernest Walker and Gertrude Fleming Walker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hart County Senior Center.
Hazel is survived by her children: Chuck Teague, Carolyn Chamblee, Lawana Kahn, and Nancy Tait, brother, Sherdie Eugene Walker; sisters: Mary Ellen Thompson and Lilly Jane Brooks; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jerry Teague and siblings, Fred,James, Ruby, Mack, Ray and Robert.
Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Hazel Teague will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at One o’clock p.m. in the Chapel of Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home with Rev. Oliver Rice and Ms. Kelly K. Fay officiating. Burial will follow in the Teague Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home on Monday, January 30, from 11:00-1:00p.m. prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in Hazel’s memory to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, 1001 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30342
