Harvey Gene Thompson
Mr. Harvey Gene Thompson, age 78 of 3448 Bowersville Highway, Bowersville, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on January 14, 1942 in Bowersville, Ga., to the late Harvey E. Thompson and Jean Shiflet Thompson. Harvey retired as Maintenance Supervisor with Hart County with 33 years of service. He was a member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the National Guard.
He is survived by; children, Sheila (Marshall) Sayer, and Wesley (Holly) Thompson all of Bowersville, Ga., brothers, Blake Thompson of Washington, Ga., and Ty Thompson of Hartwell, Ga., grandchildren, Clay Thompson and Dillon Sayer. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Connie Thompson.
At Harvey's request their will be no services. Please make memorials in his memory to Flat Shoals Baptist Church Kids and Youth Ministry, 2999 Bowersville Highway, Bowersville, Ga., 30516. The family request that flowers please be omitted. The family will be at their respective homes.
