Harry King

Mr. James Harry King Jr., age 54 of Royston, Ga., passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026 at Emory St. Joseph Hospital.

Harry was born on June 3, 1971 in Atlanta, Ga. He worked with Royston LLC as a shipping clerk. He loved classic cars, drag racing, and he loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bowman where he loved playing the drums. 

Left to cherish his memory are; his parents, James King and Lena Harold King, wife, Sherry Lynn Bowen King, son, Brent (Hannah) King, grandson, Harrison Bryce King and daughter, Candace King, siblings, Carrie (Danny) Hendrix and Kimberly Albright. Special grandsons, Westin and James MaConnel Guest along with a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother in law, Andy Albright. 

A funeral service celebrating the life of Harry King will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the sanctuary of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Pritchett and Rev. Terry Hawkins officiating. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery following the service.

The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. 

The family will be at the home, 3678 Goldmine-Holly Springs Road in Royston.
