Harold J Anderson

Mr. Harold J. "Andy" Anderson , age 97, of Hartwell, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2021at his home.

He was born on December 28, 1923 in Chicago, IL. to the late Harold C. Anderson and Marguerite T. Matz. Mr. Anderson was a supervisor for the toll way in Illinois and a Veteran of the United States Military where he served in WWII and Normandy Invasion. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hartwell, American Legion, VFW, and AM Vets where he received service awards, and provided outstanding voluntary services.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife; Dorothy Jean Goldenbogen Anderson, children; Harlene (Tom) Habel, Gail Beardsley (James), and Donna (Robert Dec) Colombani, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; Robert Anderson, sister; Dolores Anderson Siem, daughter; Sharon Joanne Anderson, and grandson; Robert Colombani, II

A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Twelve o'clock at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hartwell, GA. with Father Rafael Castano officiating. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, GA. 30643. from 2-4 p.m. Burial will take place in the Sacred Heart Memorial Garden.
