Mr. Gerald W. Sims passed away May 9, 2021 after a long illness.
He was a retired Officer, serving in the the United States Marine Corps, for 20 years.
He was a graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
He is survived by his wife Claudine Turner Sims; brother, George Sims of Mississippi; brother-in-law, Mike Turner and one neice, Kimberly Turner Groome.
Family and friends are welcome to visit at the turner home, 1340 Turner Road, Elberton, GA, on Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 2-4pm. Mrs. Sims has requested that there be no food or flowers.
The family has chosen the Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson St., Hartwell, GA 30643 to serve then in their time of grief.
