George William "Hog" Shiflet Jr.
Mr. George William Shiflet, Jr., age 65 of Elberton HIghway, Hartwell, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3, 2020 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.
He was born on February 15, 1955 in Anderson, S.C., to the late George William Shiflet, Sr., and Carrie Ellen Dooley Shiflet. He was retired from Tenneco Automotive and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by; children, Doug (Ashley) Shiflet and Greg Shiflet all of Hartwell, brother, Mike (Gwen) Shiflet of Hartwell, grandchildren, Nevaeh, Destiny, Dawson, Trevor, Jace, Hunter, Jackson and Kai. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Sandra Holmes Shiflet.
Funeral Services for George William Shiflet will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Two o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev. Terry Meeks and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate. Private burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer. The family will greet friends from 1-2 just prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will be at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made at the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the family.
