Florine Gaines

Mrs. Florine Mauldin Gaines, age 100 of Augusta, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Augusta. She was the widow of T.E. Gaines.

She was born June 27, 1918 in Hart County, Georgia to the late Frank Olin Mauldin and Antoinette Haley Mauldin. She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of the Pilot Club. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by; son, Gene Gaines (Carol) of Augusta, Ga., grandchildren, Thomas Gaines of Atlanta, Ga., Doug Gaines (Elizabeth) of Irmo, S.C., Great-grandchildren, Mary Rose, Lily and William Gaines. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Dora Mauldin, Alfred Mauldin, Katie Mae Loftin, A.T. Mauldin, Una Pyle, Horace Mauldin and Frank O. Mauldin.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Gaines will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Two o'clock p.m. at Cokesbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with Mr. Mark Pyle officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Cokesbury United Methodist Church, care of Pat Bradford 1507 Montevideo Rd. Elberton, Ga., 30635.
